Thats why All Walks Beyond the Catwalk is working with design graduates in many of Britains best colleges to promote the idea of emotionally considerate design.
Hair dressers train on heads that belong to people with feelings and opinions but designers learn on a small dummy that cant talk and then put their clothes on a model who is paid to keep quiet, so these young designers never get any feedback about whether design is actually comfortable or makes the wearer feel good.
Part of the process should be about working with ordinary women now shouldnt it! And while we are at it lets see more images of curvy women in our fashion media!
