William Rast for Target Launch Event Packs a Biker-Bohemian Punch

Biker-Bohemian chic was in full effect at the William Rast for Target launch party in Los Angeles. The glamorous event was held in an industrial warehouse space decked out with beautiful projections inside and out, gorgeous lighting, and lots of masculine leather furniture.

Justin Timberlake and Trace Ayala, childhood friends and the guys behind the luxury denim line William Rast, launched their collection for Target on December 19. The limited-time-only collection suggests rebellious biker culture with sensual tomboyish looks for women and sophisticated yet rawly masculine looks for men.

Some of L.A.’s hottest fashionistas came out to see the stylish new line, too. Rachel Bilson, Joy Bryant, Sarah Hyland, Malin Akerman and others turned out to peep the tomboy-tough new line. With beautifully cut jeans, plaid and chambray shirts, narrow skirts, and both faux and real leather jackets, these clothes epitomize the iconography of American denim heritage and biker culture.

Attendees at the William Rast for Target launch party shopped the affordable new pieces from racks made of industrial metal pipe. Queues for the plywood-crate dressing rooms snaked across the floor, and the vibe was deeply, deeply cool. The DJ maintained the beatnik mood with great road trip music from Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, the Rolling Stones, David Bowie and the Stone Roses.

The event is over, but you can still shop for William Rast for Target at Target.com/WilliamRast until it sells out. If you couldn’t make the party, check out our photos on Facebook. We’ve put some of our favorites here:
